What you see on screen
You hear the recording once and click one option per question as it plays. Preview time before each part lets you scan stems and options first.
How it is marked
One mark per question across the forty listening questions, with no negative marking. Usually all three options are mentioned; only one fits the stem.
Strategy
- Use the preview seconds to underline stem keywords, because you cannot pause the audio to reread.
- Expect to hear all three options mentioned; wait for the one the speaker actually settles on.
- Listen for corrections like 'actually' or 'I meant', which often flip a seemingly settled answer.
- Move on the instant a question passes; dwelling on it costs you the next answer too.
Traps that cost marks
Locking in the first option heard, right before the speaker corrects or rejects it.
Reading ahead so deeply that the current answer plays past unheard.
