IELTS institute software for modern coaching centres
Run full-length computer-delivered IELTS mock tests for your students, with instant marking and teacher review built in.
CD IELTS Prep is IELTS software for coaching institutes that don’t want to build or maintain their own exam systems. Your students sit full-length mock tests in the real computer-delivered format, Listening and Reading are marked instantly with rule-based matching and band conversion, Writing gets algorithmic feedback, and your teachers track every student’s performance from one workspace.
What your institute gets
One IELTS mock test platform for institutes, covering practice, marking and review — everything below exists on the platform today, and nothing here is a roadmap promise.
Full mocks in the real CD interface
Students sit complete Listening, Reading and Writing mock tests in the same on-screen format, timing and question types as the real computer-delivered IELTS test.
60+ listening & reading practice days
A large library of skill-by-skill practice days, so your batches can drill Listening or Reading on its own instead of always sitting a full test.
Instant objective marking
Listening and Reading are marked the moment a student finishes, against published answer keys with transparent matching rules and band conversion tables.
Algorithmic writing feedback
Both writing tasks get structured algorithmic feedback — task response, structure, vocabulary and grammar signals — plus band 9 sample answers to compare against.
Speaking your teachers can band
Students record timed speaking sets in the browser and send them for feedback. Your teachers listen and award the band in Teacher mode — we never fake Speaking with an algorithm.
Score reports & progress tracking
Every attempt produces a score report, and the teacher workspace shows submission progress, completion rates and which learners need follow-up.
New material every week
Fresh predicted and recent-exam-style material is added weekly, so your students practise on content close to what candidates are seeing right now.
Simple per-student access
Each student gets their own Pro account, set up and managed for you — no licence servers to run and no software for your centre to install.
How onboarding works
Contact us
Tell us about your centre — how many students, how you run batches, and what you want practice to look like. Onboarding is currently done with us directly, not self-serve.
We set up your teachers and students
We create teacher access to the workspace and Pro accounts for your students, so nobody at your centre has to configure anything.
Your students practise, your teachers review
Students sit mocks and practice days and get instant marking; teachers track progress and band speaking recordings from the review queue.
Teacher mode
Teacher mode is the workspace your staff sign into at /institute. It shows cohort health, current assignments with submission progress, seat usage, and which learners need follow-up.
It is also where Speaking gets its band. The real test is assessed live by an examiner, so we never estimate Speaking with an algorithm. Instead, recordings your students send for feedback land in a review queue: a teacher listens, awards a band from 1 to 9 in half-band steps with a comment, and that band appears on the student’s score report and counts towards their overall.
Frequently asked questions
Which tests does the platform cover?
IELTS Academic and IELTS General Training, in the computer-delivered format. We do not support PTE, CELPIP or OET — we deliberately focus on IELTS only, so the exam interface, timing and question types stay accurate.
Is this the official IELTS test?
No. CD IELTS Prep is an independent practice platform. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the British Council, IDP Education or Cambridge University Press & Assessment. Band scores on the platform are practice estimates, not official IELTS results.
How is marking done — is it AI?
Listening and Reading are marked instantly by rule-based matching against published answer keys, with auditable band conversion — every mark can be traced. Writing receives algorithmic feedback on task response, structure, vocabulary and grammar signals. Speaking is never scored by an algorithm: your teachers listen to recordings and award the band themselves.
How much does it cost for an institute?
Pricing is custom per institute and depends on how many students you enrol. Contact us with your numbers and we will put a quote together — there is no published institute price list.
Can our teachers upload their own materials?
Not currently. All practice material comes from our library — full mock tests plus 60+ listening and reading practice days — with new predicted and recent-exam-style material added every week.
How do our students get access?
We set up a Pro account for each of your students during onboarding and manage the access for you. Students sign in from any modern browser — there is nothing to install in your lab.
