IELTS coaching software for coaching centres
IELTS coaching software for centres: computer-delivered mock tests for every batch, instant Listening and Reading marking and writing band estimates.
CD IELTS Prep is IELTS coaching software that puts a coaching centre's batches on full computer-delivered mock tests without the centre building or hosting an exam system. Students sit Listening, Reading and Writing in the on-screen format, Listening and Reading are marked the moment they finish, Writing gets an AI band estimate for each official criterion, and every attempt ends in a score report the student can bring to class.
The problem: paper mocks for a computer test
When your students book the computer-delivered test, a photocopied mock rehearses the wrong thing. They meet typed Listening answers, a Reading passage beside its questions, an on-screen clock and a live word count for the first time on test day.
Marking is the second cost. Listening and Reading have 40 questions each, so every full mock means 80 answers to check against a key before anyone reads the two essays — for every student in every batch. That time comes straight out of teaching.
And between mocks, students need practice aimed at the skill that is holding them back, not another full paper — which is hard to set by hand for a whole batch.
What the software does for a coaching centre
Everything in this table exists on the platform today. Nothing here is a roadmap promise.
| What you need | What CD IELTS Prep does today |
|---|---|
| Mocks in the format students will sit | Full Listening, Reading and Writing mock tests for IELTS Academic and General Training in the computer-delivered layout: typed answers, a question palette, audio that plays once and a running clock. |
| Marking that does not eat teacher evenings | Listening and Reading are marked instantly against the answer key and converted to a band, with a question-by-question answer review. Writing is marked by AI against the four official criteria, with an estimated band for each. |
| Practice between mocks | Skill-by-skill Listening and Reading practice days, question-type drills, a writing bank with band 9 answers and Speaking practice sets — all on the same student account, with a study plan built from the question types each student misses most. |
| Speaking practice outside class | Students record Speaking answers in the browser and get AI feedback on each response, shown as a band range for that answer rather than a final score. |
| A workspace for your centre | A teacher dashboard in your centre's name: seats in use, each student's latest band per skill, who needs attention, and each student's attempt history and report. Share notes, links, files and assigned tests with the whole centre or one cohort, and add students by email. Owner access to the workspace comes with your institute; extra staff logins are added by our team on request. |
| Seats that stay with one student | Each seat is one named student. Signing in on a new device signs the previous one out, so a paid seat cannot quietly become a shared login. |
How it works for your students
Join your centre
Each student creates a free CD IELTS Prep account. During onboarding we attach it to your institute, which unlocks the full library on that account.
Practise between classes
Students work through Listening and Reading practice days, Writing tasks and Speaking sets at home or in your lab, in any modern browser.
Sit the mock on screen
Mocks run under real section timing in the computer-delivered layout, so the test-day screen is not new to them.
Get marked straight away
Listening and Reading bands appear as soon as the paper is submitted, with an answer review. Writing gets a criterion-by-criterion estimate.
Work on the weak skill
Each student's dashboard shows their band by skill and a study plan built from the question types they keep missing, so the next week's practice has a target.
What it does not do
- Institute setup is done with our team, not through a self-serve sign-up, so access starts after we have talked.
- Teachers can adjust Writing and Speaking bands, but not Listening or Reading, which come from the answer key. Every band, teacher-set or not, is a practice estimate and not an official IELTS result.
- Your staff cannot upload their own tests or questions into the test library; they can share notes, links and files, and assign tests from the CD IELTS Prep library.
- Speaking feedback for students is AI feedback on each recorded answer, shown as a band range rather than a final score. A teacher can set the Speaking band after reading the transcript; recordings are not stored. The real Speaking test is a live interview with an examiner.
- IELTS only — no PTE, CELPIP or OET.
Frequently asked questions
What is IELTS coaching software?
Software a coaching centre uses to run IELTS practice for its students: mock tests, marking and feedback. CD IELTS Prep provides computer-delivered mock tests and practice for IELTS Academic and General Training, instant Listening and Reading marking, AI Writing and Speaking feedback, score reports for every attempt and an institute workspace, all in the browser.
Do we need to install anything in our computer lab?
No. Everything runs in a modern web browser, so a lab of ordinary PCs or students' own laptops is enough. There is no licence server to run and nothing to install.
Can students share one account?
No. A seat is for one named student, and signing in on a new device signs the previous device out.
How is Speaking handled?
Students record Speaking answers in the browser and get AI feedback on each response, shown as a band range rather than a final score. The real Speaking test is a face-to-face interview with an examiner, so live speaking practice in class still matters.
How much does it cost for a coaching centre?
Contact us for institute pricing. Each student seat costs the same as an individual Pro plan, with free bonus seats on larger groups, so we confirm the exact seats and length with you rather than publishing a price list.
Is CD IELTS Prep the official IELTS test?
No. CD IELTS Prep is an independent practice platform. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the British Council, IDP Education or Cambridge University Press & Assessment. Bands on the platform are practice estimates, not official IELTS results.
