Is CLB 10 worth chasing above CLB 9?
Moving from CLB 9 to CLB 10 adds 3 first-official-language CRS points per ability, whether or not you have an accompanying spouse or common-law partner. Improving all four abilities adds 12 points: from 124 to 136 without an accompanying partner, or from 116 to 128 with one.
Whether a retake is worthwhile depends on your current scores, preparation costs and overall profile. CLB 9 in all four abilities already meets the language threshold for the top education and foreign-work-experience skill-transferability tiers; CLB 10 does not raise those tiers further.
